Islamic Dhikr & Spiritual Wellness App
Dhikr.io is a spiritual wellness application we engineered for our client, designed to help Muslims maintain their daily dhikr (remembrance of Allah), track prayers, and build consistent spiritual habits. The app features curated collections of morning and evening adhkar, post-prayer supplications, and custom dhikr counters with haptic feedback. It integrates accurate prayer times based on GPS location, Quran reading with audio recitation, and a community feature for shared spiritual goals. The design philosophy centers on tranquility — clean UI with Islamic geometric patterns and calming color palettes.

The Challenge
The client wanted an app that combined the functionality of a dhikr counter, prayer tracker, and Quran reader into one cohesive experience — without feeling cluttered or overwhelming. Most existing Islamic apps were either too basic (just a counter) or too bloated with ads and unrelated features. The app needed accurate prayer times for any location worldwide, offline support for adhkar content, and a design language that evoked peace and spiritual focus.
Our Solution
We built a cross-platform mobile application with a custom prayer time calculation engine supporting multiple calculation methods (MWL, ISNA, Umm Al-Qura, etc.) with automatic location detection. The dhikr counter features smooth animations and haptic feedback for a tactile counting experience. All adhkar content is available offline with Arabic text, transliteration, and translations in 6 languages. The Quran module includes word-by-word recitation with audio from 10+ renowned reciters. We designed a custom Islamic design system with geometric patterns and a calming dark/light theme.
